System Infrastructure Specialist Role

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality system infrastructure solutions to drive business growth and innovation.

As a System Infrastructure Specialist, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure on cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management:
    • Design and deploy robust and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud services including virtualization, storage, security, networking, and monitoring.
    • Develop in-depth knowledge of cloud computing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
    • Ensure high availability, scalability, performance optimization, and cost management across environments.
  • Security and Compliance:
    • Implement comprehensive security measures to protect infrastructure, applications, and data from cyber threats.
    • Manage access controls, enforce least privilege access, and regularly audit permissions.
    • Configure security groups, firewalls, and network policies to control and monitor traffic.
    • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, patching, and security audits.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Implement log analysis and monitoring tools to ensure system health and performance.
    • Troubleshoot complex issues and provide technical support during production hours.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators and system metrics.
    • Define and manage alerts and thresholds for proactive detection and resolution.
  • Database Administration:
    • Administer relational and NoSQL databases, including data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
    • Develop scripts and automate tasks to optimize database operations and improve efficiency.
  • Incident Management and RCA:
    • Lead incident response efforts and implement preventive actions to reduce Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR).
    • Develop and maintain post-incident reviews and root cause analysis reports.
  • Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with development teams to optimize application infrastructure and resolve technical issues.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, procedures, and guides.
    • Share knowledge and expertise with team members through training sessions and workshops.
  • Research and Development:
    • Participate in research and development initiatives to improve system infrastructure and processes.
