Job Overview

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our category managers with category strategy plans, sourcing execution, and strategic sourcing tasks. They will also be responsible for interfacing and communicating with stakeholders, project teams, suppliers, and GEP network and tools, as well as providing support with respect to Supplier Management/Procurement processes and policies.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who can lead tactical/spot buys and support category strategies to help our customers deliver tangible results. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills, as well as good negotiation skills and the ability to manage various procurement projects at once. They will also be able to assess new purchase requirements based on spend risk, etc., and lead and manage meetings effectively.

Key Responsibilities

The qualified candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Supporting category managers with category strategy plans, sourcing execution, supporting category planning, and strategic sourcing tasks;
  2. Interfacing and communicating with stakeholders, project teams, suppliers, and GEP network and tools, as well as providing support with respect to Supplier Management/Procurement processes and policies;
  3. Establishing negotiation strategies, identifying and developing negotiation levers, validating them with stakeholders, and leading negotiations to ensure savings, timely supply, and other benefits for purchases;
  4. Discussing with vendors and evaluating their products and capabilities as suppliers;
  5. Using SMART by GEP technology and client ERP system for procurement operations and suggesting improvements tailored to the client;
  6. Demonstrating continuous effort to improve operations, manage SOP's, decrease turnaround times, and streamline work processes;
