We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Solar Business Development Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar sales, renewable energy, or a related technical sales role.
About the Role:The Solar Business Development Executive will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the rooftop solar sector. This includes generating leads through field visits, digital channels, local partnerships, and referrals.
The successful candidate will engage with residential societies, commercial buildings, SMEs, and industrial clients to promote solar installations. They will conduct site visits, coordinate with technical teams for feasibility assessments, and prepare and present customized solar proposals based on client needs and site potential.
The Solar Business Development Executive will also educate clients on solar savings, payback period, financing options, and government subsidies. They will negotiate contracts and close sales in line with monthly and quarterly targets, while maintaining CRM records and preparing sales reports for management.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and develop new business opportunities in the rooftop solar sector.
- Generate leads through field visits, digital channels, local partnerships, and referrals.

- Conduct site visits and coordinate with technical teams for feasibility assessments.
- Prepare and present customized solar proposals based on client needs and site potential.
- Educate clients on solar savings, payback period, financing options, and government subsidies.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales in line with monthly and quarterly targets.
- Maintain CRM records and prepare sales reports for management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Business, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in solar sales, renewable energy, or a related B2B/B2C technical sales role.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and comfortable with fieldwork and travel.
- Experience in handling commercial and industrial rooftop projects.
- Working knowledge of solar design software like PV*Sol, Helioscope, or similar (optional).
