Senior Backend Engineer Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java/J2EE development, system design, and cloud-native application architecture.

  • Design and develop robust backend services primarily using Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Apply object-oriented design principles and design patterns to build reusable codebases.
  • Develop RESTful APIs with an emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Work extensively with NoSQL databases and messaging queues to build event-driven architectures.
  • Implement automated unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to identify test cases and debug issues.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Work with cloud platforms like AWS to architect cloud-native solutions.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong professional experience with Java/J2EE and deep understanding of Object-Oriented Design and J2EE design patterns.
  • Expertise in building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and message queuing systems.
  • Experience in automation testing (unit and integration testing).
  • Proven experience running containers in production and using container orchestration tools.
  • Working knowledge of AWS Cloud services and infrastructure.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
