Job Summary

As a key member of our Supply Planning team, you will play a crucial role in developing regional formulations and packaging supply plans for the 5-36 months horizon in monthly buckets. This role requires close collaboration with the Master Scheduler, who is responsible for setting the weekly plan across 0-4 months.

A key objective of the Supply Planner is to deliver an achievable supply plan as the plan rolls into the month 4 window. Supply Planners also interface with end-to-end Supply Chain Managers who focus on supply chain strategy across the 2-5-year horizon.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and upgrade the Demand/Supply Balanced Plan generated by the IBP Supply Solver
  • Use scenarios to evaluate alternate supply solutions as the planners develop a feasible procurement, production, and materials distribution plan
  • Manage gaps in the plan by identifying options not accounted for by the system and make trade-off decisions to be presented within the S&OP process
  • Develop regional formulations and packaging supply plans for the 4-36 months horizon in monthly buckets
  • Ensure the supply configuration is sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective considering demand patterns and MTO vs. MTS requirements
  • Work closely with the Plant/Tolling managers/Master schedulers to determine the right product mix at the formulation sites, ensuring the configuration is sustainable, efficient, and cost-effective considering demand patterns and MTO vs. MTS capacity requirements
  • Lead the analysis and scenario planning to identify potential gaps and opportunities and drive resolution on any open/anticipated supply issues
  • Participate or lead Supply review meetings, ensuring relevant issues are raised and follow-up actions or decisions are communicated
  • Develop and submit inventory forecasts for at least the next 12 rolling months
  • Participate in supply chain improvement assignments/initiatives and provide coverage for master scheduling in special situations
  • Gather, interpret, and use relevant data to develop actionable plans to improve supply chain performance. Consolidate data from Countries to Regional level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Business Management
  • Advanced Supply Chain or Project Management Certification (CSCP, CPIM, CPM) is preferred
  • 7 years' experience in multiple areas that could include time spent in functional supply chain roles, as well as manufacturing, procurement, finance, or another business function in a multi-national environment
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • ERP experience is required (SAP preferred)
  • Direct experience in a planning role along with advanced planning system experience required
  • Experience in manufacturing industries is preferred
  • Understanding of functional supply chain elements is required, including production operations, procurement, production planning and scheduling, inventory management, distribution, and customer service
  • Experience in managing work using data and metrics; owns and utilizes KPIs to manage process and drive improvement, including ensuring valid planning metric feedback is delivered every cycle to stakeholders
  • Ability to facilitate meetings with relevant stakeholders, such as manufacturing, procurement, and/or other planning members
  • Ability to act as the local focal point of knowledge to manage questions from cross-functional stakeholders about the current schedule
  • Ability to periodically review supply restrictions and facilitate discussion with stakeholders to identify options for improvement
  • Ability to support and/or lead small-scale projects or initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication capabilities
  • Demonstrates results through a proactive nature
