Job Opportunity: Data Platform Developer

  • A leading financial institution is seeking a highly skilled developer to play a pivotal role in the design, development, and improvement of software solutions.

About the Role:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • This includes ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.

Vice President Expectations:

  • To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change.
  • Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies/ processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies/procedures.
  • If managing a team, they define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the departments future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions/changes.
  • Demonstrate leadership and accountability for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work your team does.
  • Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought comparing and selecting complex alternatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in deploying and managing applications on AWS/GCP.
  • Experience with the GoldenSource product for developing, enhancing UI, data mapping, validation, and verification processes within GoldenSource.
  • Strong programming skills in Java.
  • Experience in handling data related to equities, fixed income, and listed derivatives.
  • Bachelors or masters degree with relevant experience.
