As a leader in the field of SOX compliance, you will be part of a newly created organization that provides support for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial data.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of specialists who work together with first lines of defense to perform continuous checks on SOX controls. Define yearly priorities for team members and supervise their delivery.
  • Assess team performance by establishing metrics and performing sample checks of team members' work. Provide professional advice and act as a first-level escalation point.
  • Foster a culture of performance and coach/mentor specialists in their continuous development. Manage control activities to ensure readiness for testing and support process owners in applying SOX relevant controls.
  • Support first lines of defense to prevent control failures and deficiencies. Perform internal control walkthroughs/testing and aid in defining findings, root cause analysis, and sustainable action plans.
  • Support business leads/owners in timely submission and completion of testing results. Partner with business and internal control to utilize consistent reports and control processes across geographies.
  • Liaise between business and internal control on interpreting SOX requirements and managing relationships with control owners.

About You:

  • Experience: 10+ years in SOX testing and/or internal control management, including 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Global Business Services / Shared Service Center experience gained in accounting, financial controlling, supply chain, collections, or procurement. Proven ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong interpersonal skills, detail-oriented with excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Preferred: Advanced degrees such as MSc or MBA/Chartered Accountant, ACCA or similar accounting qualifications. Audit experience at Big4 companies.
  • Languages: Verbal and written fluency in English.
