Job Title : Costing Asst. Manager

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our organization in the role of Cost Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that project costs are settled on time and margins are protected.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and be able to effectively collaborate with suppliers to settle costs using Zero Base Costing (ZBC) and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) methodologies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Cost Settlement: Collaborate with suppliers to settle costs using ZBC and TCO methodologies.
  • Commodity Monitoring: Regularly monitor commodity expenses and analyze data to identify areas for cost savings.
  • Raw Material Prices: Manage raw material prices through regular amendments, quarterly reviews, and half-yearly assessments.
  • Supplier Visits: Visit suppliers to assess their capabilities in cost drivers such as labor skill matrix, electricity utilization, process control, and raw material planning.
  • Cost Optimization: Optimize input raw materials and post-operation expenses to minimize costs.
  • Spend Analysis: Conduct spend analysis to generate cost-saving ideas and negotiate with suppliers.

Key Skills required for this role include costing, presentation, communication, negotiation skills, and ability to work under pressure. Additionally, familiarity with draw forming processes, machining processes, surface finishing processes, rubber injection molding, blow molding, and AUTOCAD/3D software is preferred.

Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Diploma or BE (Mechanical) / NTTF, IGTR degree.
  • Process Understanding: Familiarity with draw forming processes, machining processes, surface finishing processes, rubber injection molding, blow molding, and AUTOCAD/3D software.
  • Knowledge: Raw material grades, quality systems, IATF 2016 system knowledge, core tools APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, location-wise lander labor rates, landed electricity charges, skill set enhancement methodology, line balancing, KANBAN, JIT, TQM techniques, and existing tax structures.
