We are seeking highly skilled individuals to contribute to the development of advanced language models. This is a research-focused initiative where you will work on improving the ability of these models to understand and solve complex math problems.

  • You may be asked to complete tasks such as determining the number of real symmetric matrices of rank 2 with entries only 0 or 1, finding the number of subsets of a set with a specific characteristic vector, or counting distinct numbers with certain properties.

These tasks aim to identify weaknesses in the models and improve training and evaluation workflows. As a contributor, you will have the opportunity to work independently in a remote environment and participate actively in team discussions.

Candidate Profile

  • Academic Background: You should have a PhD/Postdoc in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Analytical Skills: You must have a strong ability to solve advanced math problems with clear and structured reasoning.
  • Communication Skills: Clarity in explaining complex topics and providing feedback with precision is essential.
  • Research Independence: Ability to work independently in a remote research environment is required.
  • Technical Setup: Access to a reliable computer and internet setup to participate in remote assignments is necessary.

This position is open to candidates who have completed or are currently pursuing a PhD. Applications that do not meet this criterion will not be considered.

Time Commitment & Contract Details

  • Commitments Required: At least 4 hours per day and minimum 20 hours per week with 4 hours of overlap with PST.
  • Engagement type: Contractor assignment/freelancer.
  • Duration of contract: 1 month.
  • Selection Process: Task-based assessment for shortlisted candidates, followed by a contract offer with defined timelines and workload.
