Embedded Systems Cybersecurity Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Embedded Systems Cybersecurity Specialist to collaborate with our runtime team and ensure the security of the runtime SDK. The ideal candidate will have expertise in secure development lifecycle (SDL), threat modeling, and code review.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Partner with the runtime team to adhere to SDL, regulatory compliance, and customer needs.
  2. Provide cybersecurity guidance on architecture, design, and threat modeling for members during development cycles, as well as perform code reviews as part of the SDL process.
  3. Evaluate, track, and resolve product and runtime cybersecurity issues and technical debt in 3rd party packages, including CVEs, OS/package patches, and commercial/FOSS packages.
  • Tools and Technologies:
  1. Maintain and utilize tools for static and dynamic code analysis (Coverity, SQuORE, Halgrind, Valgrind, CppCheck) and Software Composition Analysis (Black Duck Binary Analysis, Black Duck Hub).
  • Skills Required:
  1. Engineering degree in Electrical, Computer Science, Robotics, or related discipline.
  2. 8-12 years' experience in code development for multitask embedded systems running in Linux, VxWorks/RTOS, and windows.
  3. Seasoned programming skills with object-oriented design (C/C++) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell, PowerShell).
  4. Knowledge of cybersecurity issues common to C/C++, Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures, and IEC 62443-4-2.
  5. Familiarity with Open-source software (OSS), Git, GitHub, Debian GNU/Linux, Ubuntu, and Software Composition Analysis (SCA).
