Structural Draftsman

We are seeking a skilled BIM structural draftsman to support our structural engineering team by preparing accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings.

  • The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural drafting using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, with a good understanding of construction and detailing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.

• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency.

• Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.

• Maintain BIM models and update them as needed through the lifecycle of the project.

• Follow company and project BIM standards and ensure compliance with local and international codes.

• Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.

• Ensure quality control of drafted output and manage drawing revisions.

• Attend coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues.


Requirements:

Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field is preferred.

A minimum [3-5] years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit, is necessary.

Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks is required.

Solid knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards is essential.

Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications is necessary.

Good communication and coordination skills are required.


Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Revit or BIM is a plus.

Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards is an advantage.

Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region is beneficial.
