This cutting-edge platform visualizes and measures the nanoscale with unparalleled precision, setting a new benchmark for scientific discovery.

We seek an exceptional Senior Electronics Engineer to lead our high-voltage design, mixed-signal systems, FPGA development, and timing foundations. This individual will be instrumental in shaping the electronics that make the instrument feel instant and synchronized.

The mission is threefold:

  • Design a robust timing backbone to synchronize optics, detectors, motion, and software, ensuring seamless integration of subsystems.
  • Develop mixed-signal boards for beam control drivers, detector front-ends, data-acquisition, and robust control I/O, emphasizing testability and manufacturability.
  • Ensure clean, stable power and grounding/shielding for quiet images and strong EMC behavior, guaranteeing optimal system performance.

To succeed, you'll need:

  • A proven track record of shipping mixed-signal/FPGA systems in instruments, vision, or semiconductor/robotics gear.
  • Strong bench skills with scopes, analyzers, and bring-up, along with a pragmatic approach to testability and manufacturability.
  • A collaborative and documentation-minded approach, thinking in interfaces and failure modes, to ensure seamless team collaboration.

  • Deterministic, synchronized operation across subsystems, resulting in efficient workflow.
  • Stable, low-noise performance visible in images and analytics, providing accurate insights.
  • Lossless capture during long runs and lean EMC pre-checks, ensuring data integrity.

You'll shape the architecture and culture as part of the founding team, work hands-on, and ship a tool that propels research and industry forward.
