Databricks Squad Delivery Lead

We are seeking a seasoned Delivery Lead to oversee project delivery, team leadership, and client engagement for our Databricks-based solutions.

This is a pivotal role that requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and exceptional leadership skills. You will be responsible for driving innovation, optimizing Databricks implementations across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and leading cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in delivering data engineering/analytics projects using Databricks, with experience managing cloud-based data pipelines on AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proficiency in Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and distributed computing is also highly desirable.

In this role, you will
  • Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of Databricks-based solutions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for Databricks architecture, implementation, and optimization.
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers to design scalable data pipelines and analytics platforms.
  • Oversight of Databricks workspace setup, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client stakeholders.
  • Drive innovation within the team by implementing best practices, tools, and technologies.
  • Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions.


Requirements:

We are looking for candidates with
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent (Master's or MBA preferred).
  • Hands-on experience delivering data engineering/analytics projects using Databricks.
  • Experience managing cloud-based data pipelines on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong leadership skills and client-facing communication.


Preferred Skills:

We are open to considering candidates with additional skills such as
  • Proficiency with Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and distributed computing.
  • Expertise in data engineering concepts (ETL, data lakes, data warehousing).
  • Certifications in Databricks or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) are a plus.
  • Agile/Scrum or PMP certification is an added advantage.
