About the Role

Encora is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to thoroughly evaluate software applications and systems.
  • Identify and document software defects and issues and work closely with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve them.
  • Conduct regression testing to ensure that defects have been adequately addressed and do not reoccur.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and business analysts, to ensure that testing requirements and objectives are understood and met.
  • Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Perform system integration testing to ensure seamless integration between various software components.
  • Conduct performance testing to evaluate system responsiveness, scalability, and stability under various conditions.
  • Prepare and maintain test environments, test data, and test documentation to support testing activities.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software testing and ensure that testing processes align with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6-8 years of experience as a QA Tester.
  • Proven experience as a QA Tester, with a track record of successfully delivering high-quality software applications.
  • Certification in software testing, such as ISTQB, is preferred.
  • Experience in cloud environments: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including familiarity with cloud-native applications and services.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Functionize, JMeter, LoadRunner, Junit or Similar.
  • Test management tools: Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar for tracking test cases and defects.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management systems.
  • Working knowledge of Data warehousing, Data Governance and Data Quality.
  • Knowledge of web technologies and APIs is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
