Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at Stryker Global Technology Center Pvt Ltd. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex medical device software.



Responsibilities:


  • Develop and maintain high-quality embedded software for medical devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets regulatory requirements and customer needs.
  • Design and implement software architecture, including middleware and device drivers.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog management, and retrospectives.
  • Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure software meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design documents, user manuals, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with technical leads and senior engineers to develop and implement technical strategies and roadmaps.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain software development processes and procedures, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure software quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance team to ensure software meets regulatory requirements and industry standards.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years of experience in embedded systems and medical device software.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing high-quality embedded software.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in C, C++, and/or other programming languages relevant to embedded systems.
  • Strong understanding of operating systems, including Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with middleware and device drivers.
  • Strong understanding of software testing and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience with code reviews and testing.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.


Preferred Skills:


  • Experience with firmware development for 8 and 32-bit microcontrollers.
  • Knowledge of data communication protocols, including UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN.
  • Experience with embedded Linux and device drivers.
  • Knowledge of software development tools, including IDEs and version control systems.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and test-driven development.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with code optimization and performance tuning.
  • Strong understanding of software quality and reliability principles.
  • Experience with testing and quality assurance.
