Bakery Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Bakery Commis to join our team at AccorHotel. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality baked goods and pastries.

• Stock Management: Ensure the assigned kitchen is stocked with raw materials and ingredients on a daily basis.
• Equipment Maintenance: Familiarize yourself with the use of all electrical and mechanical equipment in the kitchen and maintain a safe working environment.
• Cooking Techniques: Master basic cooking methods, including cutting ingredients and preparing daily mise-en-place for the assigned station.
• Food Preparation: Prepare food items according to standard recipe cards, maintaining portion control and minimizing waste.
• Food Safety: Apply necessary precautions to maintain hotel food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain all equipment within the food production area.
• Reporting and Communication: Promptly report any hazards, unsafe working conditions, or equipment requiring repair or maintenance to your immediate supervisor.
• Emergency Procedures: Be well-versed in hotel fire and life safety/emergency procedures.
• Teamwork and Communication: Attend all briefings, meetings, and trainings as assigned by management and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.

• Education: Minimum primary school education.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar capacity.
• Language: Oral proficiency in English language.
• Skills: Service-oriented with an eye for details, ability to work effectively and contribute in a team, self-motivated and energetic, well-presented and professionally groomed at all times.
