Senior Life Sciences Executive

The Director Life Science role is a strategic leadership position that drives growth, client success, and industry influence in the life sciences sector. In this capacity, you will lead high-impact consulting engagements, develop thought leadership, and shape strategic initiatives that help pharmaceutical and medical technology companies navigate market disruptions, technological advancements, evolving regulatory landscapes, and sustainability goals.

• Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
  • Act as an entrepreneur in decision-making, driving business growth and advisory solutions in the medical devices and pharmaceuticals domain.
  • Build and expand a strong network of clients and prospects for advisory services in innovation and commercialization.
  • Establish and augment thought leadership by identifying industry trends, market disruptions, and emerging opportunities in the predefined areas/sectors/industries.
  • Establish and nurture C-level relationships, delivering high-value advisory and consulting solutions that align with clients' strategic priorities.
• Financial & Operational Excellence:
  • Strive to achieve defined revenue goals through first-class engagement with existing and new clients.
  • Ensure financial sustainability by meeting predefined cost goals, optimizing resource allocation, and improving operational efficiencies.
  • Identify inefficiencies and implement streamlined processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Work closely with different departments to improve coordination and drive seamless operations.
• Client Success & Value Creation:
  • Lead solution and delivery teams to ensure high-quality advisory services and research deliverables.
  • Design research solutions based on an empathetic approach to address client needs effectively.
  • Enhance the impact of proposals, thought leadership initiatives, and project deliverables by ensuring strategic value addition and industry relevance.
  • Handle all aspects of client communication, including kick-off calls, deliverable presentations, and feedback sessions.
• Team Leadership & Development:
  • Build and maintain a strong network of consultants, freelancers, KOLs, and experts.
  • Take the lead in building, training, and mentoring a team of top-notch research specialists, consultants, and analysts specialized in offering techno-commercial research and advisory services in life sciences (medical devices, diagnostics, biotech, pharma) domains.
  • Recruit, nurture, and retain top talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Business Development & Innovation:
  • Take an active role in business development, articulating research and advisory services to potential clients and engaging them with thought leadership.
  • Drive marketing outreach programs by developing industry decks, white papers, thought papers, articles, and case studies.
  • Set the direction for growth by sensing market trends and aligning business strategies accordingly.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:
  • Master's degree or higher, preferably in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, or MBA in healthcare management or related fields.
  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, etc.
• Experience and Expertise:
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in consulting or research advisory services, with substantial exposure to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.
  • Proven expertise in innovation, commercialization, market access, regulatory strategies, digital health, and emerging technologies in Pharma and Medtech space.
  • Experience in leading multiple high-impact consulting engagements or projects at a time.
  • Ability to manage and nurture client relationships and drive business growth.
  • Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated success in business development and ability to develop thought leadership.
