Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior CAD Technician to join our team.


Job Description:

This role will involve creating detail, subassembly, and final assembly drawings of various products from sketches, job sheets, or markups of similar designs as required.


  • Coordinate and deliver as-built drawings for customers
  • Develop drawings for permit purposes
  • Perform necessary drafting changes or create new drawings as needed

Additionally, you will assist engineers/designers with drafting and development of engineering work packages, design and draft single lines; hazardous area classification; electrical layouts c/w cable tray runs, grounding, cable runs, lighting; wiring schematics; cable/conduit schedules; lighting panel schedules; junction box layouts; control panel layouts; I/O loop drawings; heat trace design; electrical installation details; etc.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and organize drawings including drawing number request, receiving, storing, printing, issuing, etc.
  • Liaise and coordinate closely with internal team members and clients, and work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Plan and organize work efficiently

Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Instrumentation & Control Engineering (or related discipline)
  • CAD Certificate or Diploma from a recognized institution preferred
  • At least 10 years of experience as an AutoCAD drafter/operator in electrical and control systems
