Job Title: Cost Estimation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze tender documents, including technical specifications, drawings, bill of quantities (BOQs), and scope of work.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and sales teams to gather technical information for costing purposes.
  • Send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Prepare clear comparison statements of the received quotes.
  • Contribute to the preparation and submission of comprehensive and competitive tender proposals within set deadlines.
  • Work on multiple BOQs in parallel.
  • Evaluate vendor offers and negotiate the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Meet with tendering authorities and attend pre-bid meetings.
  • Raise technical queries, conduct site visits for technical understanding, and obtain final approval for cost workings.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B. Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in cost estimation for tenders and private client proposals, site installation, and procurement experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction company.
  • Good knowledge of electromechanical supplies and installations, including HVAC, STP, WTP, boilers, lifts, water pumps, fire pumps, and solar panels.
