Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing large-scale data pipelines and architectures that support our business operations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, including experience with big data tools such as HDFS, Spark, Flink, Hive, HBase, Kafka, and Kinesis. They will also have expertise in relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Elasticsearch and Cassandra/MongoDB.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Programming Language: Proficiency in either Scala or Python is mandatory. Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as Java and Scala is a plus.
  • Big Data Framework: Strong hands-on expertise in Apache Spark is required. Must know how to write Spark jobs and optimize them for better performance.
  • Performance Tuning & Optimization: Able to handle large datasets efficiently and optimize Spark jobs (partitions, shuffles, caching, memory usage, etc.)
  • DBT: Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for data transformations and data modeling is mandatory.
