Software Development Specialist

As a key contributor to the IT team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that drive business growth. Your expertise in software development will enable you to configure, maintain, and optimize applications, as well as their associated infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Technical Leadership: Guide and assist colleagues in building robust systems and gain consensus on design approaches.
  • Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement deployment strategies using automated pipelines.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with engineers to design, develop, test, and implement scalable solutions.
  • Infrastructure Management: Implement infrastructure as code for applications and platforms.
  • Problem-Solving: Collaborate with experts and stakeholders to resolve complex issues.
  • Quality Assurance: Proactively identify and resolve issues before they impact customers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Formal Training or Certification: Software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Technological Expertise: Troubleshooting skills against common technologies (MSSQL, MongoDB, Oracle, MQ, Kafka, etc.).
  • Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery: Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, etc.
  • Self-Education: Drive to self-educate and evaluate modern technologies.
  • Automation: Ability to engineer toil reduction and automation solutions using programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and user-facing skills.
  • Cloud Computing: Hands-on exposure to private and public cloud computing.
  • Site Reliability Culture: Good knowledge in site reliability culture and principles.
  • Observability: Firsthand knowledge and experience in observability using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, Splunk, etc.
