Job Overview

As a Risk Quantitative Associate, you will be supporting a team of quantitative analysts and technical specialists in providing quantitative and technical mentoring. This key role involves model development, pricing, and functional specifications for various asset classes, as well as subsequent validation by risk analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide phased delivery of simulation models and pricer prototypes.
  • Produce model documentation for internal review.
  • Manage project non-delivery risks and advise senior management accordingly.
  • Ensure adequate documentation is produced for governance purposes.
  • Assist the IT department in implementing the models and oversee the implementation of functional specifications back-testing against prototypes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

We are seeking an individual with significant experience in quantitative roles, particularly in specified asset classes, including credit valuation adjustments, expected positive exposure, building valuation models, optimizing pricing routines, and computing efficiency.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience in a banking environment or other financial institution.
  • Knowledge to develop an infrastructure for prototyping and back-testing.
  • The ability to recognize multiple relationships between problems, issues, and situations.
  • Experience guiding colleagues and supporting their development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
