Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the general accounting team to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of GST, TDS, TCS, and VAT accounts.
  • Lead the process for clearing open items, posting adjustment journals, and ensuring smooth month-end close as per Diageo India reporting guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant CARM controls applicable to the financial reporting team and support statutory audit schedule preparation.
  • Process standard and ad-hoc journals including provisions, accruals, reclass, recharge, etc. applying business judgment and context.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement additional control points to build in, taking an active part in follow-up.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Experience/Skills Required:

  • University graduate degree in Commerce (B Com), CA Intermediate/ICWAI Intermediate/MBA.

Work Experience:

  • 4-6 years of relevant work experience in Financial Accounting and Reporting (F&A) BPO or other industries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts related to General Accounting, Taxation (GST, VAT, TDS, and TCS), month-end close process, reconciliations, and various RTR functions.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP.
