We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong proficiency in Ruby and experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, and ActiveRecord.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient Ruby applications using Ruby on Rails and related frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize features and bug fixes
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with team members to find solutions

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Ruby fundamentals, idioms, metaprogramming, OOP, mixins, blocks, procs, and lambdas
  • Experience with frameworks like Ruby on Rails, Grape, ActiveRecord, ActiveJob, ActionCable, ActiveModel validations, Engines, initializers, routing, and lifecycle callbacks
  • Proficient with Bundler, Rake, Rubygems, and familiar with gem building and custom gem publishing
  • Knowledge of RVM, rbenv, chruby, and comfortable deploying and optimizing Passenger, Thin
  • PostgreSQL and advanced usage of ActiveRecord, as well as N+1 queries, indexes, and query plans
