Mobile Application Architect Leader

Drive the development of cutting-edge mobile applications, leading a team of engineers while taking ownership of systems behind mobile app and point of sale software.

This role offers high-impact technical leadership with formal people management responsibilities. You'll work closely with product managers to build and enhance mobile app and point of sale products, encompassing a wide range of functionality including mobile banking and payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with your team and engineering leadership to drive architectural solutions for building and scaling mobile products
  • Write production code regularly as a core contributor while maintaining oversight of your team's technical deliverables
  • Owning operational excellence for your team's systems, monitoring, incident response, and reliability improvements
  • Champion modern development practices, such as active use of LLMs within your team and adoption of technical practices
  • Lead a team of software engineers, identifying skill gaps, managing personal development plans and fostering a positive culture of learning, ownership, and psychological safety

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Solution design expertise for complex features within mobile apps, with experience working with applications used at scale or mission critical to customers
  • Experience in product-driven companies, driving pace and delivery
  • Mobile system design expertise, well-reasoned rational decision making, navigating detail and broader context
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, moving from conversations with non-technical stakeholders to reframing projects into detailed designs requirements
  • A strong self-learning drive, actively using and adapting workflows to incorporate generative AI tools
  • Prior experience with React Native highly valued, experience with payment or mobile banking solutions a plus
