Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Web Development Manager to lead our web development team and oversee full-cycle web development projects. This role will be responsible for mentoring junior developers, architecting scalable web applications using PHP frameworks and WordPress, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor, manage, and lead a cross-functional team of web developers and project managers.
  • Develop, maintain, and scale web applications using PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, CodeIgniter) and WordPress.
  • Oversee end-to-end project execution - from requirement gathering to delivery - ensuring quality, timeliness, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Implement best practices in coding, architecture, and project management.
  • Conduct regular code reviews and performance evaluations for the development team.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and communication between internal teams and external clients.
  • Utilize project management methodologies to track deliverables, manage risks, and drive efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in web development with a strong focus on PHP and WordPress.
  • Proven experience in leading web development teams and managing complex projects.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification is highly preferred.
  • Expertise in one or more PHP frameworks (Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
  • In-depth knowledge of WordPress (custom themes, plugins, multisite, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery.
  • Hands-on experience with version control tools (Git), deployment tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in an agency or client-facing environment.

Familiarity with hosting environments and cloud platforms.

Agile/Scrum project management experience.
