Job Title: Senior Design Engineer

Are you a highly skilled and experienced mechanical design engineer looking to lead the way in designing surface pressure control equipment? We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Design Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to take their career to the next level.

This role involves leading the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards, creating detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor or similar CAD tools. You will also conduct FEA and other mechanical calculations to validate designs, ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements, collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams, provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts, participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards.
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor or similar CAD tools.
  • Conduct FEA and other mechanical calculations to validate designs.
  • Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams.
  • Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices.
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation, including material specifications, test procedures, and certification packages.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes.
  • Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools (ANSYS, MathCAD, etc.).
  • Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is a must.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
