The Role

We are hiring an AI Engineer to lead the development of the core intelligence behind our platform.

This role requires deep expertise in information retrieval, scalable backend systems, and generative AI.

Your Responsibilities
  • Build and optimize semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval, and agentic systems to improve knowledge acquisition and processing speed.
  • Design and deploy scalable APIs and services capable of serving hundreds of concurrent requests, ensuring seamless user experience and high throughput.
  • Architect, implement, and productionize vector databases and embedding-based retrieval systems to support efficient data management and querying.
  • Work on GenAI integrations including react agents, graph agents, prompt engineering, and LLM orchestration to enhance AI capabilities and user interaction.
  • Set up full-stack search engines from scratch that can handle real-world academic workloads, driving innovation and efficiency in scientific research.
  • Contribute directly to the infrastructure that makes cutting-edge science more efficient, enabling breakthroughs and discoveries.
Requirements
  • Strong background in semantic search, vector databases, LLM frameworks, agent-based systems, and document retrieval, with a focus on scalability and performance.
  • Skilled in Python for backend development, with experience in building scalable APIs and services that meet high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Past experience deploying systems at scale, including search engines, retrieval pipelines, or embedding models, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to design infrastructure that serves hundreds of concurrent requests, ensuring smooth user experience and high system utilization.
  • Experience setting up and hosting APIs with public access, balancing speed, cost, and reliability while maintaining exceptional performance.
