Job Title: SAP CO Consultant - Strategic Cost Management Expert


  • As a key expert in SAP Controlling (CO), you will drive business process improvements and provide solutions for cost-related issues.
  • You will own Product Costing (PC) and Profitability Analysis (PA) areas, ensuring accurate cost management and profit maximization.
  • Lead workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose best-fit SAP solutions.
  • Maintain high-quality standards in deliverables while ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs and delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage cross-module integration scenarios.
  • Provide training, guidance, and mentoring on SAP CO functionalities to junior consultants and team members.
  • Manage configuration, testing, and documentation of CO processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Support ABAP developments and enhancements, including writing functional specifications for custom reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Work on month-end and year-end closing activities within CO, handling profit center accounting and overhead cost controlling.
  • Provide functional support during system upgrades, patch applications, and SAP S/4HANA migration projects.
  • Interact effectively with stakeholders across different geographies, cultures, and time zones.
  • Drive continuous improvements in CO processes and contribute to building best practices frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP CO module, with a focus on product costing, profitability analysis, profit center accounting, and overhead cost controlling.
  • Good knowledge of cross-module integration with FI, MM, PP, and SD.
  • Experience in ABAP development support, including debugging, writing functional specifications, and working with technical teams.
  • Exposure to full-cycle SAP CO implementations, including blueprinting, configuration, testing, go-live, and support.
  • Hands-on experience in handling month-end/year-end activities in CO.
  • Good knowledge of standard SAP reporting and tools for CO.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to design and deliver complex solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with global teams.

Qualification: Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance, Accounting, or related fields. ICWA/CMA certification is preferred.

Good to Have:

  • Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance/Controlling.
  • Exposure to Cost Center Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting.
  • Understanding of management reporting and analytics.
  • Ability to work in onsite-offshore model.
