Senior Cloud Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale cloud-based data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures using AWS services such as S3, EC2, EMR, and Lambda.
  • Develop and deploy data pipelines using Apache Airflow and AWS Glue.
  • Analyze and optimize data processing workloads for improved performance and cost efficiency.
  • Maintain and improve existing data systems, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Requirements:

  • 7-9 years of IT experience with a focus on cloud computing and data engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience with AWS services, including S3, EC2, EMR, and Lambda.
  • Associate Level and Professional Level AWS Certification desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS Services: S3, EC2, EMR, Serverless, Athena, AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions.
  • Cloud Databases: Must have – AWS Aurora, Singlestore, RedShift, Snowflake.
  • Big Data: Must have – Hadoop, Hive, Spark, YARN.
  • Programming Language: Must have – Scala, Python, Shell Scripts, PySpark.
  • Operating System: Must have – Any flavor of Linux, Windows.
  • Strong SQL Skills.
  • Orchestration Tools: Apache Airflow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field (Master's degree is a plus).
  • Demonstrated continued learning through technical certifications or related methods.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on Cloud related projects.

Preferred Qualities:

  • Hold strong technical knowledge and experience.
  • Self-motivated and focused on delivering outcomes for a fast-growing team and firm.
  • Able to communicate persuasively through speaking, writing, and client presentations.
