Key responsibilities for this role include evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes within an organization. Evaluating the adequacy of internal controls, identifying areas for improvement, and providing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risks is a crucial aspect of the job.

Audit execution involves conducting robust Internal Audit engagements and testing and monitoring activities in line with the annual Internal Audit program. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls and identifying deficiencies or weaknesses in processes, systems, or practices. Additionally, audit planning requires preparing engagement plans tailored to the specific risks and objectives of each audit engagement.

Reporting and communication are also critical components of this role, as they involve documenting audit findings, observations, and recommendations in clear and concise reports for presentation to management and stakeholders. Collaboration with management to implement corrective actions and improvements based on audit recommendations is also essential.

Furthermore, follow-up and resolution require monitoring and tracking the status of audit findings and management responses to ensure timely resolution and closure. Providing support and guidance to colleagues within the Internal Audit team and across the organization on risk management and control-related matters is also a key responsibility.

Required skills and qualifications for this role include a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of twelve months plus of progressive Internal Audit experience is also necessary. Strong technical expertise in Internal Audit, Internal Control concepts, risk management principles, and audit methodologies is required.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for articulating audit findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in audit software, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite is also necessary. Professional integrity, including a commitment to upholding professional standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality, is also required.

  • Qualification: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Experience: Twelve months plus of progressive Internal Audit Experience
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of Internal Audit, Internal Control concepts, risk management principles and audit methodologies
  • Communication Skill: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate audit findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively
