Job Title: Business Intelligence Specialist

Overview:

A highly skilled Business Intelligence specialist is required to lead the development and implementation of robust Business Intelligence solutions using MicroStrategy.

  • The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a minimum of 7+ years working as a Business Analyst or BI Developer.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and document complex business requirements.
  • Conduct detailed analysis of business processes to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications and functional requirements for BI solutions.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews.
BI Development & Implementation
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive Business Intelligence solutions utilizing MicroStrategy technology stack.
  • Create and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in a clear and actionable format.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from various data sources.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all BI reports and dashboards.
Agile Project Management
  • Work within an Agile framework, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
  • Manage project backlogs, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely delivery of features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, and QA, to deliver high-quality results.
Expertise & Data Management
  • Design and manage data models and data warehouses to support BI reporting and analytics.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Leverage secondary skills in Teradata and HQL for database management and querying large datasets.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize existing BI systems and data pipelines to enhance performance and reliability.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven expertise in MicroStrategy, SQL, and data visualization tools.
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies and version control systems.
