Software Engineering Senior Advisor Job Description

We are seeking an experienced senior software engineering advisor to lead the design and development of our next-generation RESTful APIs and event-driven services in a distributed environment.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to complete shared design and development, leveraging your expertise in architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop robust solutions to complex problems while considering scalability, security, reliability, and cost.
  • Support other product delivery partners in the successful build, test, and release of solutions.
  • Work with onsite and offshore QA team members to properly define testable scenarios based on requirements/acceptance criteria.
  • Solve problems by crafting software solutions using maintainable and modular code.
  • Participate in daily team standup meetings and provide impact analysis for new requirements or changes.
  • Responsible for low-level design with the team and mentoring junior team members.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 13-16 years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proven experience with architecture, design, and development of large-scale enterprise application solutions.
  • College degree (Bachelor) in related technical/business areas or equivalent work experience.
  • Industry certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
Technical Skills:
  • Java 1.8 and Spring Boot technology stack.
  • Messaging and Event Streaming expertise with Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, and Data Structures.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AWS SDK.
  • Proficient in working with the SAM framework and Lambda functions using Java.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong understanding and experience building multithreaded applications focusing on asynchronous parallel processing.
  • Good knowledge in Healthcare and Pharmacy Benefit Management.
