About the Role:

As a seasoned Ruby on Rails professional, you will design and develop high-performance web applications while improving legacy codebases for better reliability and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Enhance legacy systems with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Optimize PostgreSQL databases for performance and data integrity.
  • Deploy and manage applications using AWS services and Kubernetes.
  • Contribute to projects using Python, React, and TypeScript as needed.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong debugging skills and experience working with modernized legacy systems.
  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes.
  • Proven ability to write high-quality unit and integration tests.
  • Ability to work independently and asynchronously in a remote team setting.
  • Emphasis on clean code, maintainability, and software design best practices.
  • Excellent written communication skills and a habit of thorough technical documentation.
