Job Description:

This role involves leading the development of data insights to power commercial products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams globally to design, develop, and optimize features for high-quality, scalable solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or significantly contribute to initiatives with strategic focus and value
  • Solve deep, complex technical problems in ways that enable other team members to learn and extend
  • Support the Engineering Manager/Tech Lead in setting the technical direction
  • Provide technical mentoring and guidance to less experienced members of the team
  • Support and drive continuous improvement of production systems and be an advocate for overall system health
  • Work with stakeholders to design high-quality solutions that meet user needs
  • Write, test, and document code according to REA Engineering standards and practices

Requirements:

">

To succeed in this role, you will require advanced skills in designing solutions that scale and perform for millions of users. Experience with SQL, Python, ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling, data pipelines, data consumption, data analysis, documentation, data warehousing, modern software development techniques (e.g., functional programming, microservice architecture, test-driven development and CI/CD), and ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with business stakeholders are essential.

Desirable Skills:

Bonus points will be given for experience with Big Query, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Python libraries (Pandas, Requests, JSON), Docker, Kafka, Linux shell scripting, Git/GitHub, AWS (S3, Lambda, IaC), Airflow, and interacting with REST APIs.
