Azure Cloud Lead Job Description

The ideal candidate will have strong Linux skills, 3+ years of experience in Azure, and knowledge of cloud computing and deployment methodologies.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop multi-tier, high-availability infrastructure architectures in the Azure cloud environment.
  • Provide architectural guidance for Azure solutions and ensure compliance with disaster recovery, business continuity, and availability best practices.
  • Develop expertise across the Azure platform, including IAAS, PaaS, and App services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cloud-based solutions and ensure seamless integration with on-premise systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Linux Skills: 5+ years of work experience with Linux.
  • Azure Experience: 3+ years of experience in Azure.
  • Cloud Computing Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of Azure platforms, IAAS, PaaS, and deep understanding of cloud computing and deployment methodologies.
  • Application Design: Ability to design application and deployment architecture from on-premise to cloud.
  • Azure Services: Strong knowledge of Azure App services, Azure Resource Manager (ARM Templates), and good understanding of Azure storage options.
  • Azure Networking: Good understanding of Azure networking, including VNETS, NSGs, ExpressRoute, site-to-site, and point-to-site connections.
  • Security Options: Strong knowledge of security options in Azure and hand-on experience with Windows PowerShell, Azure AD/ADFS, OMS, operation insight, Intune, Azure Operations, operating systems like Windows, Linux, Virtualization (Hyper-v/VMware), storage, networking, and security.
  • Scripting Experience: Shell scripting experience using Bash, Python, or Perl and knowledge in configuration management systems such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and willingness to take on call duty/weekend tasks.
  • Process Knowledge: Process knowledge on incident handling and change management.
  • Independent Work: Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize work accordingly.
