The role of an Information Security Engineer is pivotal in our hosting-based environment. This position involves configuring, enhancing, modifying, and evaluating security tools and services.
- This includes identifying vulnerabilities and areas for improvement through technology and system assessments.
- Providing expert technical consultation to customers on security best practices and technologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors to address security vulnerabilities and respond to weak points.
- Analyze Web Application Firewall (WAF) blocked events.
- Knowledge of common web security vulnerabilities and recommended remediation techniques.
- Manage Log Management tools and Firewalls appliances.
- Implement Load Balancers appliances and IPSEC/SSL VPN technologies.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity using industry-standard packet capture tools.
This role requires strong knowledge of networking concepts and devices, including Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting.
Apart from the above-mentioned skills, this role also demands expertise in Windows and Linux operating system administration, public cloud security architectures, and best practices.
The ideal candidate will be able to create and maintain customer loyalty by providing exceptional support beyond customer expectations.
