Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to lead our Plant Accounting team. This key role involves providing comprehensive financial services, preparing accurate and timely financial reports, analyzing manufacturing costs, managing inventory, and driving business growth through data-driven insights.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Cost Analysis
    • Analyze production costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
    • Evaluate and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
    • Analyze market trends, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Inventory Management
    • Track and manage inventory levels, conducting audits, reconciliations, and analyses to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Develop and implement effective inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Operational Support
    • Provide financial analysis and insightful reporting to operations teams, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and areas for improvement.
    • Collaborate with operations to resolve variances and drive business growth through data-driven decision making.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations, overseeing compliance programs and initiatives.
    • Develop and implement effective compliance strategies to mitigate risk and ensure operational excellence.
  • General Accounting Duties
    • Reconcile accounts within established timeframes, preparing monthly bank reports and ensuring accuracy.
    • Consolidate financial statements, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA CPA CMA preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with supervisory experience for managerial roles.
