Job Title: Research Engineer

At Sagility, we're seeking a highly skilled Research Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our AI research team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge AI technologies, focusing on real-time inference, scalability, and enhancing Conversational AI systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and apply state-of-the-art NLP and ASR algorithms to advance AI capabilities.
  • Stay informed about the latest deep learning research and share key insights with the team.
  • Design and implement production-ready techniques for NLP, ASR, and Conversational AI.
  • Optimize models for real-time use and scalability.
  • Analyze and improve model performance through error analysis.
  • Manage data pipelines for continuous model improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI features into applications.
  • Translate cutting-edge research into practical, impactful solutions.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in ML/DL, focusing on NLP or ASR in production environments.
  • BS in Computer Science, ML, or related field; MS/PhD preferred.
  • Proficient in PyTorch; familiar with frameworks like Fairseq or Transformers.
  • Experience in applied research, strong coding skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Passion for AI, with expertise in AI areas such as Text Summarization, Speech Recognition, or Conversational AI.
  • Deployment experience in deploying and scaling AI models in production with real-time processing needs is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in error analysis and model debugging for speech and language models.
