Job Title: Financial Analyst

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced financial analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, LBO models, and DCF/relative valuations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze historical financial statements in MS-Excel.
  • A strong understanding of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow statements, and financial ratios is required to assess the financial performance of public and private companies.
  • Identify key KPIs, emerging trends, relevant industry updates, competitive environment, associated risks, and valuation metrics to provide an overview and conclude investment thesis on covered companies.
  • Develop a detailed understanding of financial projections based on financial statements, management briefings, company budgets, and estimates. This includes normalizing financial statements, creating various scenarios like management cases, sponsor cases, upside, and downside cases.
  • Strong knowledge of various debt classes and financing options used by borrowers for deals. Prepare liquidation-based recovery analyses for different debt pieces using recovery values for each asset type.
  • Conduct extensive company valuations involving approaches such as DCF, DDM, trading multiples, and EVA.
  • Prepare company profiles, analytical reports/decks, earning and flash notes, quarterly updates, coverage, sector, and theme-based reports, newsletters, technology primers, etc.
  • Handle ad-hoc research requests and support other team members.
Qualifications:
  • CA/CFA (cleared all three levels), with relevant 4–6 years of experience in financial modeling, LBO models, DCF/relative valuations.
  • Ability to identify and solve issues effectively and within deadlines.
  • Strong accounting, financial analysis skills, and English writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
