Job Title: Healthcare Billing Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Healthcare Billing Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing and managing patient claims, ensuring timely payment and resolution of any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Denials Management: Analyze and resolve denied claims in a timely and professional manner, following up with patients and insurance companies as necessary.
  • Posting Requirements: Ensure accurate and efficient posting of payments and adjustments, maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Batch Reconciliation: Perform daily batch reconciliation to ensure all payments and credits are correctly posted and matched.
  • Knowledge of Posting Offsets: Demonstrate a clear understanding of posting offsets, forward balance, and refund processing/posting.
  • Familiarity with Denial and Remarks Codes: Familiarize yourself with denial and remarks codes to perform posting and assignment of AR appropriately.
  • Secondary Billing Process: Understand the secondary billing process while performing cash posting.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in your work, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Tech Savviness: Have basic knowledge of MS Office and experience working on imaging systems, with an added advantage if you have experience with Advanced MD.
