The person should be able to troubleshoot Codesys-related issues and design, program, and maintain SCADA/HMI user interfaces using Ignition Designer.

  • Ignition Certification – CORE or GOLD Certification is required.
  • Develop expertise in designing web interfaces using Ignition Perspective and scripting in Python within Ignition.
  • Experience with OPC Server/Client integration and interfacing with external systems.
  • Implement Tag Historian and report functions.
  • Integrate MariaDB or InfluxDB with the SCADA backend using SQL Bridge.
  • Manage backup and restore operations.
  • Monitor alarms, indicators, and alert notifications.
  • Integrate with email and messaging services.
  • Proficiency in program development using Structured Text (ST) and ExST under Codesys Automation Server and scripting.
  • Handle industrial protocols like Modbus, Profibus, EthernetIP, DNP3, etc.
  • Set up and integrate with OPC Server and Client.
