Interior Designer Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to join our team as a Pre-Sales Executive. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of furniture, home décor, lighting, and space planning.

This role combines interior design expertise with customer engagement and sales, ensuring clients receive tailored home décor solutions. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs and preferences, then guide them through the showroom to select the perfect pieces for their space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and engage with customers at the flagship showroom, providing a premium shopping experience.
  • Understand client requirements, home aesthetics, and functional needs to suggest suitable furniture and decor.
  • Guide customers through the showroom, explaining material choices, design philosophies, and craftsmanship behind each piece.
  • Provide professional design inputs based on client space requirements, color schemes, and lifestyle needs.
  • Curate personalized product selections and suggest suitable combinations of furniture, lighting, and décor.
  • Assist clients in visualizing products in their space using mood boards or digital tools.
  • Prepare detailed quotes and pricing estimates based on client selections.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations team to ensure timely follow-ups and order processing.
  • Maintain a database of potential clients and proactively reach out to schedule showroom visits.
  • Engage with architects, homebuyers, and other industry professionals to foster relationships and generate leads.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups via calls, emails, or showroom visits to convert potential clients into customers.
  • Participate in design events, workshops, and exhibitions to showcase your skills and Alankaram's offerings.
Requirements:
  • Education: Degree/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-8 years of experience in interior design, furniture sales, or luxury retail.
  • Strong understanding of furniture, home décor, lighting, and space planning.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.
  • Basic proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, or 3D visualization tools.
  • Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and quotations.
  • Passion for luxury furniture, home styling, and customer experience.
