At ARM, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Validation Expert to join our team of talented engineers. This exciting role offers the opportunity to develop and lead sophisticated compute subsystems and solutions, enabling cutting-edge technologies in enterprise and client markets.

About the Role:

  • Owning and leading the validation methodology for subsystems/solutions related to DDR5 or equivalent experience
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand and review SoC solution architecture, developing an end-to-end plan for DDR-5 from verification to post-silicon validation
  • Key responsibilities include owning the validation plan, debug methodology, test content development, bug identification, and validation checks
  • Enhancing validation methodologies used by the team and working closely with board teams, equipment vendors, systems teams, and others to develop a robust DDR validation methodology
  • Guiding other team members as needed to ensure successful project completion

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor's (BS) or Master's (MS/MSc) in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering; relevant work experience considered
  • Mandatory knowledge of DDR-4/5 or other high-speed protocols
  • Experience with silicon validation for complex SoCs and ASIC products
  • Ability to make trade-offs between power, performance, and area
  • Proficiency in writing validation test content using C, C++, etc.
  • Familiarity with all stages of Silicon Validation, including use-case validation
  • Experience in producing validation specifications and documentation describing sophisticated designs
  • Strong ability to work under time pressure and meet ambitious targets without compromising quality
  • Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals and systems
  • Practical experience with processor-based system designs
  • Knowledge of shell programming/scripting (e.g., Tcl, Perl, Python)

Nice to Have:

  • Demonstrated understanding of CPU/GPU subsystems in SoC environments and proven expertise in owning validation requirements & validation plans
  • Hands-on experience validating multiple sub-systems for ASICs/SOCs in system environments (across Emulation, FPGA, and Development/Eval boards), owning all phases of validation (test development, execution, and debug) for owned sub-systems
