Responsibilities & Outcomes

Teachers at Plenum are expected to:

  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned with Cambridge standards and school plans
  • Submit lesson plans on time (≥90%) and track student progress through fair assessments and timely feedback
  • Act as mentors in discipline, values, and life skills, modeling Plenum's SCORE values: Standards, Coach, Ownership, Respect, Evolve
  • Contribute to hostel supervision, student activities, and pastoral care in a boarding school setting
  • Embrace professional development, English immersion, and technology adoption
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and leadership to support student growth
Qualifications & Skills

To succeed at Plenum, candidates should possess:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Elementary Education or any subject with a Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or equivalent: B.Ed preferred.
  • A strong foundation in child-centered teaching methods, such as activity-based, play-based, and experiential learning.
  • The ability to teach multiple subjects, including English, Math, EVS, and basic Science, at the foundational level.
  • An understanding of child psychology and developmental milestones.
  • Patience, empathy, and creativity when handling younger learners.
  • Experience with phonics, reading programs, and numeracy building is a plus.
  • The ability to build classroom routines and discipline suited for younger children without authoritarian methods.
  • Strong English communication skills, with training support available.
  • Proficiency with technology and a willingness to use smart classrooms.
  • Boarding school experience is a plus.
