Senior Design Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing technical drawings based on specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Australian telecom standards, particularly with Telstra and Optus networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow specifications and standards to create accurate and reliable technical drawings.
  • Implement standard operating procedures for client projects, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Accurately estimate project hours, taking into account complexity and resource requirements.
  • Use official communication channels for project updates and notifications.
  • Prepare DWG's without assumptions, focusing on precision and attention to detail.
  • Conduct self-quality checks and technical checks for all DWG's before passing them to quality control.
  • Move completed projects to a designated common folder, ensuring easy access and collaboration.
  • Handle various project types, adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
  • Consistently demonstrate performance in all project types, meeting or exceeding expectations.
  • Support the team to meet client targets when required, fostering a collaborative environment.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-7 years, with a strong understanding of design principles and telecommunications standards.
Skills
  • Designing skills, with a focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and creativity.
  • Experience working with Australian telecom standards, including knowledge of Telstra and Optus networks.
