Senior Data Engineer Position

This role is centered around guiding the data engineering team in creating, implementing, and maintaining pipeline solutions that address organizational needs. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with managing pipeline development activities, possess robust project management skills, and be proficient in Python, PySpark, and Spark.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Create solution architecture and develop detailed process designs for day-to-day operation of preclinical pipelines.
  • Coordinate and oversee the data engineering team's daily activities, review and merge pull requests, manage the product delivery roadmap, and track progress on user stories in a collaborative environment.
  • Review pipeline releases and migration activities, conduct code reviews, serve as technical expert for the team, and lead documentation efforts to ensure seamless communication among stakeholders.
  • Proactively manage release notes and communicate pipeline updates to key stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or any other technology-related field.
  • 8+ years IT experience, with 6+ years in Data Engineering on Big Data platforms.
  • Able to work and lead cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, with experience managing pipeline development activities and strong project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in working with Git workflow for project execution and DevOps (CI/CD framework).
