Job Title: Senior Data Engineer SME

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our modern data platform.

This role is perfect for someone with deep technical expertise in ETL pipeline design, data modeling, and data infrastructure who thrives in a fast-paced, engineering-driven environment.

You will work across the full data stack from ingestion and transformation to orchestration and delivery playing a key role in scaling our analytics and reporting capabilities.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Designing and implementing efficient, scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data flows.
  • Developing transformation models using dbt and orchestrating pipelines via Airflow.
  • Optimizing large-scale processing jobs in Apache Spark.
  • Tuning and managing relational and analytical databases (PostgreSQL, Snowflake).
  • Architecting and maintaining schemas using Star Schema, 3NF, and SCD2 methodologies.
  • Designing and supporting lakehouse architectures and scalable storage solutions.
  • Implementing and enforcing data governance, validation, and quality control mechanisms.
  • Maintaining DevOps standards using CI/CD, GitFlow, and containerization tools like Docker and Ansible.

The ideal candidate for this role should have:

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT design.
  • Strong experience with dbt, Airflow, and Spark.
  • Deep understanding of data modeling techniques (Star Schema, 3NF, SCD2).
  • Proven ability to optimize and tune PostgreSQL and Snowflake for performance.
  • Familiarity with lakehouse architecture principles and tools.
  • Solid experience in data governance, validation frameworks, and pipeline monitoring.
  • Strong grasp of GitFlow, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker/Ansible).
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate across teams in a dynamic environment.
