Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Software Development Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for planning and designing new software and web applications, analyzing and testing them, and integrating them with existing systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements;
  • Design new software and web applications, support applications under development, and customize current applications;
  • Participate in training representatives and operations staff on internally developed software applications;
  • Research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports;
  • Monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects;
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the design process and guidance with regards to practices, procedures, and techniques;
  • Work with Quality Assurance teams to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements;
  • Display in-depth knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, skills, and their application in the area of specified engineering specialty;
  • Display in-depth knowledge of and ability to apply process design and redesign skills;
  • Display knowledge of and ability to apply project management skills;
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance;
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance;
  • Ability to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • 5-7 years of relative work experience;
  • Strong understanding of software development principles and best practices;
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems;
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment processes;
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines;
  • Knowledge of quality assurance principles and testing methodologies.
