Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Technical Lead to oversee the development and implementation of our Digital banking solutions. Our platform processes over 4 trillion payments annually, and we work with 17 of the top 50 US banks by asset size.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the capacity to manage complex technical operations in an agile environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices. Proficiency in Java, data structures, and algorithms is essential, as well as experience with CI/CD processes and tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day technical operations and ensure seamless integration with cross-functional teams.
  • Assist in training new employees and reviewing high-performing team members.
  • Develop and assign work schedules/tasks, and review ongoing operations to rectify any issues.
  • Participate in design and code reviews to enhance quality and customer experience.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Collaborate with product, production support, and operations teams to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
  • Lead groups of engineers working with the Product to coordinate and deliver projects.
  • Provide technical support to operations or other development teams.
  • Review work of peers and team members, and participate in planning sessions to analyze development requirements.
  • Actively participate in team and status meetings, providing timely status updates for areas of individual responsibilities.

Required Skills:

  • High technical credibility and strong programming skills with Java EE, SQL, JavaScript, JMS, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Strong experience in Java frameworks, especially Spring framework.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
  • Solid experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and triggers for Oracle databases.
  • Proficient using source code management tools such as Git/bitbucket and build tools like Maven.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues.
  • Experience in leading a team through all phases of the software development cycle.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experienced in agile software development lifecycle.
